Hello I’m Monica.
I’m a graphic designer located in the San Francisco Bay Area. Most recently I worked as a Senior Graphic Designer at an in-house art department for The Family Coppola. During my years at Coppola, I had the opportunity to work on a large variety projects from wine labels, displays, campaign materials, signage, resort dinnerware, Bottle Rock tents, and so much more. This experience has stretched my imagination and taught me how to be resourceful under pressure.
As a Senior Graphic Designer, I am experienced in the management of the complete design process, from conceptualization to delivery. I am a self-motivated team player with versatile problem-solving skills, a highly developed eye for detail, and a drive for excellence. I have extensive knowledge in designing for print, packaging, ad campaigns and print production. I have an expert level of proficiency in the Mac environment with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign).
A little bit about myself. I am a California native. I was born in San Francisco and grew up in the Bay Area. My father immigrated from the Philippines and my mother immigrated from Nebraska. I was an artsy kid, always making something. Either I was building with Legos, making doll clothes, or building barbie furniture from wood scraps. Naturally, I went to an art college; I attended the Academy of Art University, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design.
I am a creator, it’s what I love to do even in my free time. I love to paint, sew, garden, sculpt, and I’m always up for a fun craft project. I’m inspired by my hobbies, as they give me the ability to create in a less rigid manner, in contrast to my day job.
Oh, and I love small dogs.
